A LEADER IN NEW JERSEY'S MUNICIPAL TRASH AND RECYCLING COLLECTION

GOING GREEN

At Gaeta recycling “going green” is not just a popular phrase but our mission.  There are multiple ways that our company has incorporated conserving the environment into our daily operation.  Starting with recycling our office waste and implementing a recycling policy to all of our employees, to providing an extensive list of services to our customers.  We are constantly updating our facilities to keep up with the ever changing standards.  We use our MRF (Materials Recovery Facility) to separate the waste collected and recycle more materials from going to our landfills.  Some of our most common recyclables are wood, cardboard, paper, plastic, aluminum, tires and concrete. If you don’t see it here please feel free to contact us and see how we can help you save the environment.

Wood

Our transfer station accepts a variety of different wood.

  • natural vegetation (trees, branches)

  • wood chips

  • pallets

  • untreated lumber

Cardboard & Paper

Cardboard is our largest recycled product.

  • 1 ton of cardboard = 9 cubic yards of landfill space

  • cardboard and paper is easily recycled and reused

Plastic

We work to implement recycling services with all of our customers.

  • Only 22% of the 22 billion plastic bottles the world’s population produces gets recycled

  • it takes 450 years for a plastic bottle to decompose

  • our plastic gets bailed and shipped to recycling plants

Aluminum

With a little bit of work we can limit the amount of aluminum and metal going into our landfills.

  • aluminum beverage cans return to the grocer's shelf as a new, filled can in as little as 90 days after collection, remelting, rolling, manufacturing and distribution

Tires

We work with our local recyclers to make sure that our tires get reused.

  • approximately 290 million tires discarded by Americans each year

  • 80% of those tires get recycled in a variety of different products

  • tires can be burnt up for fuel, used to rebuild our roads, bathroom tiles, floor mats etc.

Concrete

By recycling concrete and stone you can lower the cost of your disposal

  • we accept clean concrete, natural rocks and stones, asphalt, etc.

  • products are brought to specialized recycling facilities

  • reused as gravel for construction or reprocessed to be used with new concrete mix
